Lu[Idle] is an idle game where you play as an unnamed game developer making a game using Lua! More story and lore will be added soon as well as more polishing and features. Visit my YouTube channel, in my profile, for game development progress updates.

Is there a way to find the commands for the terminal, are they locked behind upgrades, or only for dev use? Maybe have a way to auto collect the coffee for offline progression?

at the moment there are no commands other than dev commands. It was planned to be where and how you would use settings but that got to be annoying so I just made a settings menu. At the moment I have no future plans to update Lu[Idle].

That's fair.

Thank you for your response :)

I am making a new idle game called Square Game though. If you want to check that out you can find regular update videos on my TikTok “sneakpandagames”. It’s already turning out to be a lot better than Lu[Idle]. And instead of releasing it into early access, I am going to try and get it done by mid August before College starts. We’ll see though since it’s already almost July and it’s not looking too good content wise. It’s very polished there’s just not that much stuff to sink hours into yet. I’m hoping to make the later game more engaging then just restarting but with a boost like in Lu[Idle]. It’s looking like it either is done in August or I don’t get it done then and it takes like 6 more months to get it done since after August life gets a lot more busy. This was definitely an unnecessary yap session but I appreciate anybody who decides to read it.

Game dev takes a bit. Take your time. Rushing leads to bugs, breaks, or burnouts. I have never had Tiktok, but if you've got Shorts, I can check it out. I'm also in the process of translating a text-based idle game I wrote in python to one with a UI in Javascript. That's an interesting way to kill time.

it’s the same name on instagram but I don’t have them on shorts. Good luck with your text based idle game.
